LITERACY PROJECT //  01

On April 28th, Charlie Batch of the Best of the Batch Foundation joined the Steel Valley Rotary for its annual literacy project. A dictionary was given to each student in the Steel Valley 3rd grade by Charlie. He then showed the kids how to use the books by looking up the words "success" and "work".

RACE TO END POLIO //  02

After 20 years of hard work, Rotary and its partners are on the brink of eradicating this tenacious disease, but a strong push is needed now to root it out once and for all. It is a window of opportunity of historic proportions.

Local Rotary clubs teamed up to hold a 5 k road race. The race was held Saturday, April 25 at the Waterfront in Homestead. The proceeds went directly to Rotary International and the "End Polio Now" campaign. Thanks to all our sponsors.
